How to stop panic attacks - physical symptoms of anxiety

anxiety1When faced with the physical symptoms of anxiety, many people don’t even realize that anxiety is the cause of them. Men have the hardest time admitting it, not wanting to seem weak. On the positive side, treatment for these disorders can produce results in a relatively short period of time. In just a few weeks a person can experience great change in their symptoms. At least four of these following symptoms should apply in order to land you with a diagnosis of anxiety:



1. Rapid Heart Beat - This is being consciously aware of your own heartbeat, and the feeling can be in your throat as well as your chest.

2. Difficulty in Swallowing - This involves the feeling of having something stuck in your throat, or in your upper abdomen.

3. Chest Pains - This can reveal itself as a heaviness, or hard pressure, or just discomfort, all of which are felt in the chest.

4. Sweating - this is sweating from emotional stimulation rather than from physical exercising.

5. Shaking or Trembling - This shaking is brought about due to fatigue, anxiety, or stress.

6. Nausea - This is brought on by the central nervous system.

7. Dizziness and lightheadedness - Another anxiety symptom.

8. Hot or cold flashes - Just another symptom of emotional distress.

9. Fear of dying, loss of control, or going crazy - more emotional distress manifesting itself in the mind.

10. Shortness of breath - Feeling smothered, not able to take in enough air, yet another symptom of anxiety.
